Building a website may seem like a scary process, without trying to overload yourself with techie specs what you need to focus on are the key elements:

  • What kind of site are you wanting to build? There are a few options, the common ones are Informative and E-Commerce (one with a shopping cart).
  • What is your budget? This is probably one of the most important factors, basic information sites that have little interactivity and pages you don’t require to update often are always the cheapest. When you start getting into a CMS (content management system) for updating your site, or you want flash effects then the price moves up because the work load expands.
  • Have you seen a site that you like the look of? When you build a website it’s always helpful to start by finding something you like the look of, it will speed up the development process 10 fold and make the designers job significantly easier.
  • When finding a website designer, the cheapest isn’t always the best. If your business site doesn’t look professional or work correctly then you will lose clientelle and potentially search engine optmisation. Always look for a portfolio of sites developed by the designer to see what they’re really capable of.

That’s basically it, if you’re looking for my portfolio head up to the menu at the top of the page. Once you have an idea on the points made above. Send me a message and let’s start talking.
